We are so excited to welcome Dan Person of CARBONISTE to the cellar! CARBONISTE is a producer of hand-crafted sparkling wines from California. Started by Dan & Jacquline Person in 2017, they are not striving to be Champagne. They want to reimagine what sparkling wines can be through taking advantage of California’s special terroir. 

After meeting at UC Davis, they worked around the world, then around California. Dan worked for Schramsberg Vineyards for 3 years, making traditional sparkling wines from California grapes. Based on that experience, Dan decided there was a need for a new interpretation of California sparkling wine. Jacqueline was concurrently making still wines from a variety of terroirs across the Golden State, terroirs that have inspired their vineyard selections.

I discovered these wines several years ago & was ecstatic when they were available in the GA market! They're delicious, fun & utterly drinkable!
