Thursday: September Charity Tasting
Thursday, Sept. 5, 5:30-7:30 p.m., $15 per person; $25 per couple
Proceeds from this tasting – as well of 10 percent of sales for wines being poured this night -- will benefit Savannah Commons Wine for the Walk and the local Alzheimer’s Association. 7 wines, appetizers from Gigi’s Cupcakes and Bonefish Grill.
A retirement community for almost 30 years, Savannah Commons features independent, assisted and memory care residences, and is home to multiple residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinsons’ and stroke effects.

Italian Artist, Wines at 700 Drayton

 The Mansion on Forsyth Park's 700 Drayton will host an Italian wine dinner with guest and artist Stefano Cecchini. Cecchini enjoys painting luxury cars, exotic portraits and large-scale images of wildlife from different continents. He thoughtfully studies his subjects in detail to portray, with his own passion, their great beauty. Guest of honor Steve Pignatiello, owner of P. Comms International, is known for his dedication to fine wines and to  the quality of his wines -- traits that have made P. Comms Int’l one of the Southeast’s most respected wine importers. Clients have included such well-known establishments as The Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa, The Ritz-Carlton (Buckhead) in Atlanta, The Cloister on Sea Island, The Woodlands Resort and Inn in Summerville, S.C., and Augusta National Golf Club.
Chef Patrick McNamara is putting together a remarkable five courses, which will be paired with some amazing Premier Cru and Grand Cru wines. Seating will be limited to 25 people.
