 We’re focusing like a laser beam on the Oak Knoll AVA of Napa Valley with the selections for this tasting of Blackbird Vineyards wines.
Since the premier release with its 2003 vintage, Blackbird Vineyards' winemaking team has handcrafted truly expressive wines with a focus on the varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. By utilizing the natural advantage of a 10-acre estate vineyard which produces exceptional Merlot in the Oak Knoll District-along with meticulously sourcing fruit of comparable quality-our portfolio reflects artisanal, terroir-driven wines of pedigree with each vintage.

Thursday: Charity Pour for Girls on the Run
Thursday, Mar. 6, 5:30-7:30 p.m., $15 pp, $25 couple includes 6 wines, apps from Bonefish Grille, Gigi's Cupcakes
 Girls on the Run is a transformational learning program for 8 to 13 year-old girls. The program teaches life skills through dynamic, conversation-based lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event.
Girls on the Run International has more than 200 councils in North America that have served 600,000-plus girls since 1996. Girls on the Run of Coastal Georgia began with less than 50 girls in 2006. It currently serves more than 700 girls annually and continues to grow each fall and spring season. 150+ volunteer coaches and running buddies who give their time and talents each season are changing the face of our community now and forever.

Check presented to Commuinity Health Mission
Our monthly charity tastings have supported a wide variety of local non-profits and charitable organizations. The February tasting was in support of South Coast Medical Center’s Community Health Mission. Shown here at the check presentation is Mike Jaeger, managing partner of Savannah Wine Cellar; Ebony Rivers and Dr. Mirriam Rittmeyer, both of Community Health Mission; and Dr. David Estle and Rachael DeRing, both of South Coast Imaging Center.
